Interesting Family History: Our fathers were both in WWII. They did not know each other until they met before we were getting married. They discovered that they both had returned from the war on the same troop ship as they discussed the date and time of the ship’s arrival at the same pier at Boston Harbor. That was in 1945. They met in 1970 as we were planning our wedding. There were thousands of servicemen on the troop ship.
Tell the story of how you were asked to be a Commodore and First Mate: Phil Quillin called and asked Larry to come to his office. Larry thought it was regarding Proctor and Gamble business. The rest of the Commodores were in a back room and they asked him. There were three national acts at Riverfest in 1995…Kansas, Rare Earth and 38 Special.
