Tell the story of how you were asked to be a Commodore and First Mate: Things were simple in my day. Two Commodores, Phil Quillin and Tom Reinert, set up an appointment to meet with me at my Restaurant. They asked me if I would be the Commodore for 1990. My response was fairly negative because I was too busy running my restaurant business and wasn’t sure if I would have the time to commit. I told them I would let them know the next day. I went home and discussed with Wanda, and decided to do the deed.
